Gail originally hails from Kent in the South East of England, where, from an early age, developed not only a love of music, but a desire to know everything about the artists, their backgrounds, life stories, and in fact, just about everything to do with popular music from the year dot. ( Actually, not only Popular music, since she loves opera!). Her only son grew up just as enthusiastic, and they bounced this love of music off each other, and still do!

She believes that best period for music was the 60’s and 70’s when the UKand America was so influenced by the blues explosion of the time, with so many bands taking their inspiration from the early black American artist’s without whom our music would not be as it is today.

Gail has had a colourful working life right from being a store detective in London to being landlady of a country pub in Kent for 8 years and most recently indulging in her other passion, which is beautiful clothes for women.

She has a good knowledge of the music industry, and loves to share this with anyone interested in music. Her weekly slot at Valle Radio, “Gailforce” gives her the opportunity to do just that.
